Chicago #2
Lets go to the second day. So we slept in a hotel at Waukegan, Illinois, but we didnt figure out how to go to the main city of Chicago yet on that day. We decided to sleep after makan pizza (itulah dinner itulah lunch) and think about the transport on the next morning. After wed did some Google works, kteorg pun rasa yang naik train adalah choice yang terbaik because thats the only cheap way to go there....
We took a bus to the train station and bought a ticket for everyone. Adalah dalam half and our tunggu, then train pun sampai. Before that, sempat la ambil sikit gambar sebab bosan. Let me introduce my squad la btw. From right, Lee (she used to be my housemate when I first arrived, pandai orangnya), Kaisah (dia minat kpop menari lembut I could say), Beeha ( a blogger and also my roomate, we do share a lot of interests in makeup, she is from Penang), Fatin (one of my lovely housemates from Malacca, matang orangnya) and me. For the bottom row, the righ one is Amalin (asal Kelantan she taught me to eat budu in the US ahahha),and lastly, Ash (she is the coolest among us hheheee rajin pergi gym)
After tidur and buat semua benda (semua tau semua, insta twitter and so on) on the train and after an hour and forty minutes, we reached the cityyyy, The city of Chicago. The first thing we did after sampai was finding a kiosk to make Ventra card, (card untuk naik subway and bas la gitu so that we dont have to pay with cash everytime we need a ride). Pusing pusing pusing akhirnya we found it. semua pun buat la card masing masing and after that we went to our first destination, which was around Soldier Field. On our way there, we saw many weird monuments. ada satu tu semua kaki je hahahahaha it looked funny but beautiful at the same time. We spend some time the taking pictures, videos and so on.
We also saw, Christoper Columbus, hehehe monument je. Because we were all gegirl who love to take pictures, we stopped every time we see beautiful sceneries and we believe that pictures are just meant to be took everywhere in Chicago haha
Here was our first destination, Shedd Aquariummm. Behind me were the Chinese Emperors (tapi terpotong Im so sorry) and basically that building is using an ionic order based on the columns(saja je nak apply apa yag aku belajar dlm Western Art), maybe because it has some kind of relations with Athens or the architect wanted to present this order without any reason idk. Search for it if you wanna know more.
Basically that was it for the first day. After that we went to Serai (a Malaysian restaurant which its owner is a Chinese Malaysian) to eat of course Malaysian foods. Hilang semua rindu sebab rasa sebijik la macam kedai malaysia. I didnt remember what I ate on the first day however, but it was worth it la sebab sedappppp. Rindu Malaysiaaaaaa. 😭
