Now I’m gonna talk about a famous bridge in New York which I'm very sure that you all know about, which is the Brooklyn Bridge. So this bridge connects two different parts of New York which are Brooklyn and Manhattan. Manhattan will be where tourists will spend most of their time in while Brooklyn is known with their.. idk maybe rap? like Jay-Z and its unique style which if I were to describe, I don’t know how. What I know is I wouldn’t walk alone in Brooklyn at night. To describe more on both related to fashion, I think Manhattan is more about smart, formal plus a little casual while Brooklyn is more like a street wear vibe. I hope I describe them enough. However these two places actually do complement each other as Manhattan is where all the jobs opportunities are at and Brooklyn is where people are living for those jobs as Manhattan is too expensive.

So before going to this bridge, I will recommend everyone to start with DUMBO if they are living in Brooklyn for their Airbnb or whatever because they are kinda one way too, as you will meet DUMBO first before the bridge. After you take pictures at DUMBO, walk on the same street but away from the Manhattan Bridge (blue bridge) until you find a sign showing stairs to go up to Brooklyn Bridge. It will be about 3 or 4 blocks away if I’m not mistaken. Go up the stairs and you will be on the bridge. This way, you don’t have to walk from the very end of the bridge and you can  save your energy a bit. From the stairs spot, it will take about approximately 20 to 25 mins to walk across the bridge to Manhattan. But if you start from the very end of the bridge in Brooklyn, maybe it will take 35 to 40 minutes of walking to get to the end.

At the end of the bridge at Manhattan side, there will be people selling cheap souvenirs like a fridge magnets, keychain and posters, so don’t forget to bring your cash. Yeah cash, they don’t accept cards.

Hello, let's start with the closest attraction to my house. It is called DUMBO. Can anyone guess what  DUMBO stands for? haha it's quite silly but DUMBO is Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass.
Actually, people mostly don’t know what this place is called same goes to my friends, they were like  "what is the place in between building where you can see the bridge behind tu". Well now friends, ask no more. It's Dumbo.

So how to get to DUMBO? this is actually a bit tricky, actually not so tricky but having the exact view I have in the picture above could be quite confusing. So what you need to do is set up the location in your maps or google maps at 39-21 Washington St, Brooklyn, NY 11202 and it will lead you to the beautiful view behind me. Thanks me later

Take pictures as many as you want and as quick as you can also because this spot is gonna be in the middle of the street. Yeah, in the middle. They don’t close the street even though there are a lot of people so you need to be careful and always watch for cars when taking your pictures okie.

I have been here so many times, probably more than 10 times because I always follow my friends when they came here and I had a studio project for one of the buildings in this street also. So yeah, I am quite familiar.

Also this is a great spot for pre-wedding pictures. I saw couples taking their pre wed photos every time. Just to let you know, it’s a good spot for photos. If I were to rate this place, I will put 6/10 😊

The next post will be about Brooklyn Bridge. Wait okay. 😊

It’s already 2020 and I am still on my break. I am so bored and I have nothing to do everyday :( I kept on disturbing Nini many times a day and I think I should stop.

I had two of my friends, Aisyah and Amalin with me until this morning and they actually just left 10 mins ago. Now I am lonely again huh..

Soooooo since I have so much time, I think I want to do reviews of all the places that I have been in New York so that anyone who wants to come here can have a little idea on how the place will be like. Stay tuned guys.

Also, If you guys want me to review places here, I can also do that and maybe I can go there if they’re somewhere haven’t been to. Just comment down below and I will do a special post for each place 💞

Thank you for reading!

Hey everyone!

It's 2.06am now and I'm about to go to sleep but imma share with you guys my winter break experience, which was ...............super great, beyond great la I can say hahah

So actually, I was planning to go to Florida but I postponed my plan for some reasons and ended up staying here in ny for the whole break. The idea of staying in ny is actually something that I really want to avoid since I know how bored it can be but fortunately........ my nini and my best friend were  both here hehe.

I think it's actually them la yg buat my winter trip ni so memorable hmm....But anyways, I was so happy when they were here andd... I learned a lotttt about my sweet guy nini haha. Ingat lagi when he was so menagada nak makan KFC la nak Halal Guys la haha bayangkan dia ni minat sangat halal guys sampai every 2 ke 3 days mesti nak halal guys and he always minta hot chili yg pedas tu banyak banyak 😂One of the funniest thing kan I sumpah almost nak curi je sos barbeque dekat satu groceries store ni but it was actually for the food in the store la. Store tu ada jual readymade food and masa tu Halal guys tak ada barbeque sos. I tak suka la makan halal guys takda barbeque sos. Tapi atas nasihat nini I beli la sos tu dekat kedai just to eat halal guys haha.

And then kan, dgn sebotol sos tu kteorg pergi la makan dekat Concourse Rockefeller center tu haha. Tu pun something yg I tak pernah buat la , siapa je bawa botol sos makan dekat Rockefeller hellooo u what? homeless ke hahaha but it was fun, dengan nini yg macam tahan nak menangis sebab sos Halal Guys dia pedas sangat la ahaha it was funny la. Idk la I boleh tak makan bawak sos if I were with other people.

So that was one, and I have a lot of other stories to share too. Maybe I'll do it later la because I'm so sleepy now. Okay la bbye and thanks for reading!

xoxo.

I promised to my friends at Washington to come and visit them this winter break and dah datang dah pun. At first, we planned to go there with the total of 5 people but suddenly one of my seniors joined us. Jadilah 6 orang. When we first arrived there, we stayed at Atiqah and Yana's house (its not their house act but whatever) and they served us ayam masak kicap yeyyyy for our dinner. Because the two of us actually just arrived from east, we took a rest on our first day at Auburn (rumah Yana and Atiqah). We started our journey on the next day to Bellingham, Washington to visit people at Whatcomm Community College.

On our first day at Belligham, ada la jalan to a park and like always taking some good pictures there. It was super cold there tapi tahan jela. I pakai gloves pun rasa mcm tak pakai haha. So, we spent about two hours at that park for pictures and after that we went to a mall to get some halal foods. Dah alang alang we were at a mall, we spent some time to shoppppp. Sekejap jela tapi kan. Malam tu, we decided to go out to play bowling (our favourite game hhehe ) sebab rasa bosan. Two of us didn't wanna go sebab they wanted to spend time with the girls from Whatcomm since they haven't meet for quite a long time. The two of us tu, Nabiela and Aisyah, dikira senior la sebab they are from I-SMAT (which is earlier than MADPP kot, ke sama idk) and we are from MADPP 3rd batch. However, basically we are from the same sponsorship, which is MARA. Nabiela and Aisyah did not join for bowling that night but Encem brought his friends there. Adaa la total 13 orang yang datang to play on that night and I was quite malu la because I am not an expert tapi I buat tak faham je hahahah.

After main bowling, someone kata pergi rumah the boys to eat. Atiqah and me masak la malam tu and because we were not really good in cooking (haha), we spent about almost 1 hour and half cooking ayam paprik. Ramai pulak orang masa tu, so banyak la kena masak. So we finished cooking at 1.20 am kot I tak ingat tapi kenyang la semua orang that night.

On the next day at Bellingham, we planned to go to Mount Baker and something unexpected happened. We were locked out of our car sebab lupa ambil kunci. The key was inside and the car was locked from inside!  That was the thing I am most afraid of about car and it happened anyway. I was so thankful sebab a few men came and helped us to open our car using dawai and they left us with the dawai after spending about 30 minutes mcm tu to help us. It was near Mount Baker and literally no one lives there okay memang takut la I sumpah. Tapi, berkat kesabaran kot, we managed to break in out car guna dawai yang pakcik tu bagi after about 1 hour and half doing that. huhhh. Alhamdulillah.

Malam tu rumah kawan Encem and Nabiela we ate together. Malam tu juga kteorang balik ke Auburn.

Before sampai rumah we went to Kerry Park (the best place to see Seattle from far).

We also went to see Space Needle and Key Arena that night, and I think it was at 1 pm hahaha. It was cold but I was so happy cs it's a late night walk dude.

That was it for that day, and we went to UW on the next day. We woke up late hahah because I slept at 5 am gossiping about one of the seniors yang I and Atiqah minat at Bellingham nama dia start with S. hahahah teka la siapa. Pastu kan we went tu UW and arrived at 7 kot. Tapi the library we wanted to go has already closed. Balik la ke rumah lepas tu because we wanted to cook for dinner at home. I masak dengan Atiqah and bantuan some other people. Malam tu, haaa we spend our time together, Me Atiqah Encem and Luqman until 6 a.m (I went to sleep early than others sbb ngantuk). I got to know each of them better tapi I didn't tell much about myself. Maybe sebab 4 orang kot hmm idk.

On the next day, we went to Seattle mamak cari makanan malaysia but nasi lemak had already finished by the time we came. So sedih tapi takpela I beli benda lain.

After that we went to University of Washington again because we want to take pictures at the library. Atiqah said the library was so good. It was indeed so great I tak tipu. Gambar la saya di sana and we also went outside of the library for pictures.

After hantar Atiqah ke airport, we went back to Oregon on that same day.

Malas la nak cerita panjang panjang haha tapi on our next few days kiteorg pergi habiskan semua tempat yang masih belum pergi dekat city pass tu mcm skydeck, 360 and apa ntah lagi satu tapi it was fun la. I dont have many pictures on those places sebab maybe I dont like my outfit on that day I dont remember la. However, I have some pictures at The Big Bean. We went there twice, siang and malam on the different day to see how it looks like at night.

I dont remember every single thing we did there but we also went to The Navy Pier to take some pictures. I malas la nak cerita pajang panjang haha because I have another interesting story to tell.

I think thats it for Chicago, I dont know what to say as my memorable experience there was when we first arrived. Itu sahaja I wanna say for now. Bye bye. Thank you sudi baca, appreciate it!

Lets go to the second day. So we slept in a hotel at Waukegan, Illinois, but we didnt figure out how to go to the main city of Chicago yet on that day. We decided to sleep after makan pizza (itulah dinner itulah lunch) and think about the transport on the next morning. After wed did some Google works, kteorg pun rasa yang naik train adalah choice yang terbaik because thats the only cheap way to go there....
We took a bus to the train station and bought a ticket for everyone. Adalah dalam half and our tunggu, then train pun sampai. Before that, sempat la ambil sikit gambar sebab bosan. Let me introduce my squad la btw. From right, Lee (she used to be my housemate when I first arrived, pandai orangnya), Kaisah (dia minat kpop menari lembut I could say), Beeha ( a blogger and also my roomate, we do share a lot of interests in makeup, she is from Penang), Fatin (one of my lovely housemates from Malacca, matang orangnya) and me. For the bottom row, the righ one is Amalin (asal Kelantan she taught me to eat budu in the US ahahha),and lastly, Ash (she is the coolest among us hheheee rajin pergi gym)

After tidur and buat semua benda (semua tau semua, insta twitter and so on) on the train and after an hour and forty minutes, we reached the cityyyy, The city of Chicago. The first thing we did after sampai was finding a kiosk to make Ventra card, (card untuk naik subway and bas la gitu so that we dont have to pay with cash everytime we need a ride). Pusing pusing pusing akhirnya we found it. semua pun buat la card masing masing and after that we went to our first destination, which was around Soldier Field. On our way there, we saw many weird monuments. ada satu tu semua kaki je hahahahaha it looked funny but beautiful at the same time. We spend some time the taking pictures, videos and so on.

We also saw, Christoper Columbus, hehehe monument je. Because we were all gegirl who love to take pictures, we stopped every time we see beautiful sceneries and we believe that pictures are just meant to be took everywhere in Chicago haha

Here was our first destination, Shedd Aquariummm. Behind me were the Chinese Emperors (tapi terpotong Im so sorry) and basically that building is using an ionic order based on the columns(saja je nak apply apa yag aku belajar dlm Western Art), maybe because it has some kind of  relations with Athens or the architect wanted to present this order without any reason idk. Search for it if you wanna know more.

Basically that was it for the first day. After that we went to Serai (a Malaysian restaurant which its owner is a Chinese Malaysian) to eat of course Malaysian foods. Hilang semua rindu sebab rasa sebijik la macam kedai malaysia. I didnt remember what I ate on the first day however,  but it was worth it la sebab sedappppp. Rindu Malaysiaaaaaa. 😭

It has been  a few days since I arrived Eugene from Chicago. I was a big city with SUPERLY GREAT architectures but orang orang dia are so unexpected. Saja je nak guna melayu biar mat salleh tak faham hahaha. To be honest, orang orang dekat Eugene lebih lebih lebih baik dan lebih lebih pembersih dari Chicago. Maybe sebab Chicago is a big city kan so thats why it has many kinds of people. Yang palingggggg tak suka bila orang orang kulit gelap ( you know what I mean) pandang me and my friends macam musuh je. Tak friendly langsung. Orang kulit putih were much much better sebab at least dyorang tegur la jugak ktorang, tanya dari mana and we can ask anyhing we wanna know about that city(at least okay) with them. Kalau orang kulit hitam tu hmmm nak dekat pun takut sangat. Serious takut. Maybe because they seemed aggresive and most of the time kteorang nampak dyorang marah kot... kotttttttt hahahaha idk.

Okay let's begin my story... at first, I hesitated to join my other friends to Chicago but I didn't know where I got the decision to join them hahah, but to think about it again, it was worth it tho. Since I just had to pay $190 for the flight tickets (total), and another 50 bucks for our accommodation. The flights went well except or the fact that we needed to wait for our transit hehe. On the day we arrived we actually had a big dilemma whether to rent a car or just take public transportations, because every day, to go to the main city, will bring us trouble as out hotel was actually far from the main city. It was seriouslyyy far. It was situated at Indiana ( the next state ) and it took us about almost 1 hour and half if I'm not mistaken, from the airport ( which also takes almost 30 to 40 minutes to the main city ). It was tough okay... but we made it at last. Luckily, the taxi driver drove us away from the hotel we reserved to the new hotel which also took us another 1 hour and half to go there. It was situated at Waukegan (near Minnesota I believe because I saw many Minnesota signboards on the way there). I didnt know whether this was true or not tapi I think the driver macam saja nak bawak jauh jauh so that kteorg bayar cab fee banyak hahahhah. Macam la tapi takpelah because he helped us to get new hotel.

So that was our first day at Chicagooo. Stay tuned for the next few days stories okayy.
